Dr. Noor Zaman Jhanjhi is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently serving as a Professor, Programme Director for Postgraduate Research Programmes in Computing, Director of the Center for Smart Society 5.0 (CSS5), and Cluster Head for Cybersecurity at the School of Computer Science, Faculty of Innovation and Technology at Taylor’s University, Malaysia.
Renowned globally for his contributions to the fields of Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT) Security, and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Jhanjhi has been recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists for two consecutive years, 2022 and 2023. His exceptional research impact has earned him numerous accolades, including the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Most Cited Researcher at Taylor’s University in 2023 and a nomination as an Outstanding Faculty Member by MDEC, Malaysia in 2022.
With over 24 years of experience in academia and the IT industry, Dr. Jhanjhi has held various academic and management positions, including Associate Professor, Dean’s Coordinator, and Head of IT. His prolific research career boasts more than 700 international publications, including over 400 SCIE high-indexed Impact Factor journal articles and more than 90 research book chapters. He has also authored and edited over 50 research books with prestigious publishers such as Springer, Elsevier, and Wiley.
Dr. Jhanjhi’s work has garnered significant recognition, with an impressive Google Scholar H-Index of 69, Scopus H-Index of 50, and ResearchGate H-Index of 60, accumulating over 15,100 citations. He has also contributed to over 100 international conferences, delivered 60+ keynote and invited talks globally, and holds 13 international patents from countries including Australia, Germany, Japan, and the UK.
His leadership in research is further exemplified by his role as a Guest Editor and Series Editor for several high-indexed SCIE journals and book series. Dr. Jhanjhi is a member of editorial boards for numerous prestigious journals, including PEERJ Computer Science, Computers, Materials & Continua, and IEEE ACCESS, where he was awarded the Best Associate Editor in 2020.
Dr. Jhanjhi’s research interests span Cybersecurity, AI, Machine Learning, Wireless Security, Ad hoc Networks, and Software Engineering. His extensive expertise and collaborative network extend to over 50 universities and industries worldwide. As a highly sought-after consultant and academic leader, Dr. Jhanjhi has successfully supervised 38 postgraduate students and led numerous projects, significantly contributing to advancements in technology and education.
